Welcome to Paper Moth Studio, where the art of storytelling meets the beauty of handcrafted creations. The name Paper Moth is a nod to our love for books and the delicate nature of paper art. And just as a moth is drawn to a flame, we are drawn to the sparks of magic and joy that storytelling can ignite. Our studio is dedicated to crafting unique, story-inspired gifts, from bookish candles and jewelry to whimsical paper products. Each piece is a testament to the power of narrative and craftsmanship.

Our Process
The story always comes first, whether we're planning a design for a new bookish candle or literary inspired greeting card. Pulling from our favorite genres and tropes, we begin piecing together a one of a kind experience.
Crafting Our Products
We don't just tell stories: we build them. From initial sketch to final product, every detail is crafted with intention: the design of our labels; the hand-cut paper art; the fragrance notes of our candles. We test countless iterations until the story comes to life.

Meet our founder and resident story architect, Courtney Donovan. What began as a mission to handcraft the perfect book-themed gifts for friends and family sparked a whole new adventure.
Sustainability
Sustainability First
While we celebrate our love of books, art, and all things paper, we aim to do so responsibly. We're not perfect, but we are continuously striving to find ways to improve our practices.
All our products are handmade in small batches, too, so we can prioritize quality and reduce waste.
Candles
Our 100% soy wax is sustainably sourced, domestically produced, and free of paraffin, a petroleum byproduct common in other candle waxes. All candles are made with cotton core wicks and the highest quality phthalate-free fragrances for a clean, long-lasting burn. Our jars and tins are fully recyclable after cleaning.
Paper & Packaging
Our paper products are made with post-consumer waste (PCW) recycled content whenever possible, and we always aim to avoid petroleum-based byproducts such as single-use plastics, styrofoam, and plastic-based adhesives. The packing peanuts we use are plant-based, compostable, and dissolve in water.
